SHOF 2010 Inductees

MEDIA RELEASE
December 11, 2009

Vreeland, Seely, Monsrud and Dimmerman to be inducted into Hall of Fame

St. Germain, WI.................... The Board of Directors of the Snowmobile Hall of Fame and Museum (SHOF) is happy to announce the 2010 Inductees.  Induction ceremonies will take place on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at the Whitetail Inn, Hwy 70 West, St. Germain, WI.  The banquet is the final event of the RIDE WITH THE CHAMPS presented by Modine Hot Dawg Garage Heaters.  The Racine, Wisconsin manufacturer is in their fifth year as the corporate sponsor of this prestigious event.  The day-long trail ride starts with registration and breakfast at 7:00 am.  Again this year, two of the four rider groups will be for vintage sleds.  One will be the Vintage Challenge group which makes a 170 mile round trip to the UP of Michigan and is now the most talked about vintage ride in the world.  It has become the gold standard for vintage riders and a test of their machines as it is a real challenge to ride 25 to 35 year old iron for such a grueling trip.  Celebrity riders and others past SHOF Inductees join in for this day-long ride through the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin.  Jon Carlson, Brian Nelson, Mike Trapp, Stan Hayes, Doug Hayes, Jim Dimmerman, Joey Hallstrom, Ray Monsrud, Bob Eastman, Jim Bernat, Olav Aaen, Craig Marchbank and many others will be riding.  Registration fee is $130.00 and includes breakfast, lunch and the evening banquet.  A souvenir bib and cap is presented to all riders.

The SHOF operates a year around museum, gift shop and the Ramstad Media Center and Library at its Hwy 70 location in St. Germain.  Information on the SHOF Museum, the annual Classic Sled Roundup show and swap, the annual raffle and the 27th annual RIDE WITH THE CHAMPS can be found on the SHOF web site at www.snowmobilehalloffame.com.

The 2010 Inductee class includes Keith Vreeland of Mosinee, WI, Clyde Seely of West Yellowstone, MT, Ray Monsrud of Roseau, MN and Jim Dimmerman of White Bear lake, MN.  (photos and complete bios attached)
